Q: What is the ACH Direct Deposit program?
The ACH Direct Deposit program allows New Salem to deduct your tithes, offerings and Building for Life (BFL) contributions from your checking or savings account.

Q: How can I join?
Four Easy Steps to participate in Direct Deposit
1. Download the Direct Deposit form (PDF)
2. Complete the form: original signatures are required.
3. Insert a voided check or a deposit slip
4. Mail to the New Salem Finance Office to the address below:

A Confirmation Letter will be provided to the Depositor (member) indicating the start date and amount of the transaction.
Also, you can come to New Salem during normal business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and drop off your completed form. |

Q: Can I choose what days to have money withdrawn from my account?
Yes.
Biweekly – based on the biweekly pay schedule for New Salem.
1st, 15th, and/or 30th of the month – you may choose one, two or all three of these dates to have money deducted from your account (for example, I may choose to have money deducted on the 1st and the 15th) |

Q: Can I make changes to my ACH Direct Deposit deductions?
Yes.
All changes must be received in writing and sent before the 1st of the month in which you want your changes to be effective. |

Q: Will I receive envelopes if I am paying my tithes and offerings through the ACH Direct Deposit program?
Yes.
Envelopes are issued in the event that you want to give money over and above what is being deducted monthly through the program. If you would like to discontinue receiving envelopes you can contact the church and ask to speak with Ann McNeal. |

Q: What are the benefits of the ACH Direct Deposit program?
Enrolling in the ACH Direct Deposit program will guarantee consistent giving even when you are absent. In addition, it will relieve you of the hassle associated with check writing and help save time. |
