WHERE IS SUNDAY SCHOOL?
In June of last year, we transitioned from the traditional Sunday School model to a CARE Group Model using the Faith Weaver Small Group Curriculum. The Youth CARE Groups are currently set up by grades. The CARE Groups meet on Sundays, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in the Center For Excellence. Ask a Guide on Sundays to help you find your way there.

WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUTH TO DO?
Leadership - Youth Council
Maturity – Youth CARE Groups
Membership – Connect Events
Magnification - Worship Arts Include Divine Purpose Dance, NuVoices Youth Choir, Puppets f Praise and Youth Ushers
Ministry – Integrated Technology and Media Ministry
Missions – Commissioned In Authority (C.I.A.) Youth Missions

MY TEEN NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED. WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
In order to participate in the Youth Ministries, the teen must complete Discovery 101. After completion of Discovery 101, the teen should contact the ministry leader of the area in which he would like to participate.
The ministry leader will follow up with information about ministry requirements and meeting times.

WHEN ARE DISCOVERY CLASSES OFFERED?
The Discovery classes are offered on the third Sunday of each month at 3:00 p.m. Super Saturday Classes are available so that those with busy schedules can block off one day, spend it at the church in class and complete all four classes in one day. We provide meals, snacks and materials. Your teen should call to pre-register at 614-930-2200, 454.

MY TEEN NEEDS TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE BIBLE?
Youth CARE Groups meet every Sunday morning, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. It is imperative that your teen participate in the small group bible study opportunities offered as well as develop the habit of reading the bible at home on a daily basis (15 minutes per day). Easy reading plan, start at the beginning with Genesis.

MY TEEN NEEDS TO LISTEN TO SOME NEW MUSIC. WHAT IS OUT THERE FOR TEENS?
There are a lot of good musical artists who reach the youth and young adult crowd. Check out our own Nia Allen at www.niaallenmusic.com. Other artists include: Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Cross Movement, Canton Jones, Kierra “Kiki” Sheard, daTruth and Rachel Lampa.

MY TEEN NEEDS TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS?
Some great ways to make news friends at church are to participate in the Youth CARE Groups on Sundays, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.; Teen Talks, Saturdays, January 6, 2007 – March 10, 2007 and Youth Council Meetings, 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

MY TEEN NEEDS COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS.
Please contact Mrs. LeOndra Thomas at 614-267-2536, 142 to get signed up to volunteer.

MY TEEN DOES NOT LIKE CHURCH. WHAT DO I DO?
Sometimes the church setting can be overwhelming, particularly if your teen is new and has not yet made friends at church. Please encourage her to attend our youth small groups, youth events and group activities. As your teen meets new people and makes friends, the church environment will be more inviting and she will begin to enjoy her church experience more. Also, please spend two minutes each day praying with your teen. It will do wonders for your family and for your teen to feel more comfortable in the church environment. Pray for health, wisdom, guidance and understanding. Call us if you need more assistance at 614-930-2200, 454.
