Ministry Purpose: To offer care, concern, and prayer for our members by reaching out to them via telephone and visitation.
Description: The Care Ministry/Care Callers are the contact, visitation and service arm of New Salem, responsible for calling the membership (Care Callers), contacting visitors weekly, and visiting the sick, shut-in and bereaved members of the congregation. Open to adults to commit to six months to one-year service.
Commitment: Completion of 101, 201, 301 Classes, training provided, and six-month commitment.
SHAPE: Giving, Care Compassion, Service, Love, Encouragement, Knowledge, Mercy, Faith, Counseling, and Discernment.
Expertise and Experience Needed: Callers, Visitation Ministers (Male and Female), Communications Coordinator, Activities/Events Coordinator, and Ministry Assistant.
