Purpose: To provide healing, encouragement, and restoration through a 13-week informational and interactive small support group. The program will emphasize that real healing from pain and divorce must begin with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The weekly support group will deal with issues surrounding separation and divorce.
Divorce can be one of life's most difficult and painful experiences; effecting the entire family. New Salem's New DivorceCare Ministry is a 13-week program providing biblically-based information and support to those dealing with the pain of separation and divorce.
The program format consist of weekly 2-hour meetings where participants view a 30-40 minute video featuring top experts on divorce and recovering subjects and real-life cases of people dealing with the pain of divorce. After viewing the video, the DivorceCare participants spend time as a support group, having a facilitated discussion about the video and how to apply it to their lives. DivorceCare is for men and women seeking healing to rebuild their lives.
