SALT MINISTRY AWARDS

Each quarter, New Salem Missionary Baptist Church recognizes individuals participating in ministry who are making a significant difference in serving others. 

Each quarter, a nominee will be submitted for recognition from each department: 

Pastoral	Life Development	Membership
A.B.I.D.E. Wellness Center	Promiseland	Ministry
Administration	Magnification	Missions
Chief Operating Office	Maturity

Nominees must meet all of the expectations set forth by Pastor Keith A. Troy:
1.  Completion of Discovery Classes (101, 201, 301 and 401)
2.  Be a tithing member
3.  Regular participation in at least one of the teaching ministries: Sunday School and/or Small Groups.
4.  Regular attendance at Sunday Worship Service
5.  Attendance at Baptism and Communion Services

Additional requirements for nomination include:
1.  Minimum of one year of participation in a ministry at New Salem (minimum of one quarter for quarterly nomination).
2.  Recommendation for nominee must be accompanied by written documentation that is to be submitted to the Ministry leader or Department Director.
3.  Written documentation must include examples to support the nominee's recommendation that should address the following questions:

On the nomination form please explain how does the person demonstrates these leadership/discipleship characteristics?
1.  Goodness – the ability to do what is beneficial to others
2.  Righteousness – Doing what is right in all relationships
3.  Truth – The expression of your spirit, open, honest, full of integrity
4.  What fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5 has been produced in this person or ministry?
5.  What impact has this person made within the church or their ministry?
